I said the same about Pixomondo's reel for the show ... the excessive dark moody lighting and bloomy color grading ruins / tarnishes many of the prior rendering results your company and Pixomondo delivered for the show. It's really unfortunate when other departments of a production you don't have influence over, decrease realism previously achieved.
If that's what the Art Director wanted in the end, then that's what they wanted.

He simply means, compositing is the most important in the workflow. We all focus on Maya or Houdini, but mostly it is Nuke. And it is not about Nuke but about compositing.
